RWCS
Chapters take turns making a Souvenier Button for each Red Wing Convention.
GSRW's turn came in 1999. Making the usual printed button out of metal &
paper didn't thrill our GSRW members. Then Mike Robinson - our Secretary /Treasurer
/Newsletter Editor/Commemorative Pottery Maker - suggested that he could make
a stoneware button. WOW almost everyone in the club immediately volunteered
to help. Club members spent many days helping Mike produce 500 buttons.
Our
GSRW club Historian Harley Thompson is another very creative WingNut. He builds
structures for our displays, & now he is creating Red Wing Dinnerware
crossword puzzles.
GSRW
has created 3 jigsaw puzzles to raise funds for club activities.
Puzzle
#1 premiered in 1998 with stone, dinner, & artwares
